About the Role
Our Statistics team provide statistical and analytical expertise across Costello Medical, devising statistical analysis plans and performing data analysis within R, Excel, Stan, SQL and BUGS software. They are also responsible for communicating the methodologies and results in both written and oral formats to drug and device manufacturers, and doctors. The statistical analyses vary across patient-level clinical trial data, observational study (real-world) data, and published aggregate data. Our work involves a range of techniques such as basic statistical analysis of individual patient data, regression analysis, survival analysis and complex Bayesian network meta-analysis using both standard and emerging methods.
You will work in project teams alongside colleagues from all specialities to ensure that statistics projects are completed to an exceptionally high standard, on time and in line with client expectations. You will receive training in the technical aspects of the role, project management skills and effective client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients and, following a successful induction period, you will increasingly participate in client calls and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders.

Are you fascinated by the bizarre world of small, wiggly, often regenerative invertebrates? 
The Stowers Institute for Medical Research is seeking a Research Technician II to join the Hall Lab.
 
Our lab is motivated by the simple premise that we shouldn’t be limited to studying biology only in established “model” organisms. We are developing a suite of molecular and imaging tools to enable genetic engineering in diverse emerging model organisms, with the goal of understanding how stem cells support regeneration across the tree of life.
 
Roles &amp; Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work closely with the PI to support the lab’s research efforts by:

<li>Developing and refining techniques to maintain and expand an array of emerging model invertebrates (with a strong emphasis on flatworms).</li>
<li>Contributing to molecular cloning that support transgenesis and gene editing strategy development.</li>
<li>Performing experiments to characterize regeneration, life history traits, and phenotype variation across species.</li>

<li>This role will lead a great team of several physicists, dosimetrist (onsite and remote), and physicians.</li>

What You’ll Do
<ul>
<li>Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.</li>
<li>Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.</li>
<li>Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.</li>
<li>Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.</li>
<li>Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties, as needed.</li>
</ul>
 
What You’ll Need
<ul>
<li>Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.</li>
<li>A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.</li>
<li>7+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret regulations.</li>
<li>A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues.</li>
<li>Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.</li>
<li>Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.</li>
</ul>
 
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Requires ability to use and move equipment.</li>
<li>Requires a variety of physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, stopping, lifting, carrying.</li>
<li>Exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to radiation therapy setting.</li>
<li>Occasional evening or weekend work.</li>
