The Role: The Microbiology Technician – Cleaning R&amp;D position is in alignment with the Cleaning Business strategy to lead with #1 brands in the cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection categories. This role supports critical internal R&amp;D formulation development required to establish robust products and method development for various initiatives across all of Clorox’s businesses. The focus of this role will be on parterning closely with a Senior Microbiologist to develop and validate our internal capabilities for testing our Professional products against tuberculosis. Description

Specific to the Position
The responsibilities will include providing geologic and hydrogeologic support for Contaminated Site Remediation and Redevelopment (CSRR) for the more technically complex sites. It also includes the issuance of the Discharge to Ground Water Permits and the issuance of the Classified Exception Areas. A more advanced understanding of geology and hydrogeology are critical skills necessary to fulfill the job duties. Depending on the level of expertise, the person may also be responsible for completing geologic and hydrogeologic reviews for the lead programs. In this situation, the staff person is responsible for reviewing ground water issues related to Unregulated Heating Oil Tank (UHOT) cases and working with the Bureau of Field Operations, in addition to publicly funded and direct oversight cases. Represents the Bureau of Ground Water Pollution Abatement in dealing with the Ground Water and Surface Water Quality Standards.
 
Preferred Skill Set
This position is responsible for the review of workplans, reports, correspondence, proposals and studies which pertain to geology and hydrogeology, site remediation, well injection and other areas to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with CSRR regulations, policies and procedures for Licensed Site Remediation Professional &amp; Publicly Funded and Case Management cases. Job Summary: The QC Microbiology Analyst is responsible for performing microbiological testing to ensure product quality and compliance with FDA and GMP regulations. This role involves testing product and stability samples, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting investigations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced medical device/diagnostics environment. Job Duties:

<li>Perform microbiological testing on finished products, stability samples, and special test requests per SOPs.</li>
<li>Prepare and manipulate microbial cultures and stocks using aseptic technique.</li>
<li>Document and review test results for accuracy and compliance with GDP, GLP, GMP, and HSE requirements.</li>
<li>Support audits by maintaining logbooks, calibration records, and laboratory cleanliness.</li>
<li>Enter and manage data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).</li>
<li>Assist with laboratory investigations and document invalid test results.</li>
<li>Maintain training compliance with departmental processes and procedures.</li>
<li>Follow PPE and safety protocols in all laboratory activities.</li>
<li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 6S standards in lab areas.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li>

 Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related life science preferred.</li>
<li>In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, will consider Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of relevant regulated industry experience (GMP preferred).</li>
<li>Prior microbiology lab and sterile/aseptic technique experience preferred.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of microbiological testing, quality principles, and data entry/analysis software.</li>
<li>Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot independently.</li>
<li>Team-oriented with initiative to drive improvements.</li>
<li>Ability to read and follow SOPs while maintaining safety and HSE compliance.</li>
