About the Role
As an Installer with Closet America, you’ll bring beauty, organization, and joy to customers' homes through precision-built closet systems. We’ll train you the right way—through hands-on and classroom instruction—so you can grow quickly from Helper to full Installer. If you’re a problem solver who takes pride in great work, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will:

Start each day with a pre-check of your van and materials
</li>
<li>
Install custom organization systems in customer homes
</li>
<li>
Follow Closet America’s proven processes and quality standards
</li>
<li>
Work safely and neatly, protecting customers’ homes
</li>
<li>
Communicate with the team and customers throughout the day
</li>
<li>
Clean up and review the finished product with the homeowner
</li>
<li>
Complete final paperwork and collect payment as needed
</li>
</ul>
Key Qualifications
<ul>
<li>
Valid driver’s license required
</li>
<li>
Woodworking or finish carpentry experience preferred
</li>
<li>
Ability to interpret design drawings and recognize parts and assemblies
</li>
<li>
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
</li>
<li>
Strong attention to detail—able to measure and install to the millimeter
</li>
<li>
Organized, systematic, and professional in appearance and conduct
</li>
<li>
Willing to work at least 2 weekends per month
</li>
<li>
Coachable and open to feedback and continuous improvement
</li>

About the Role
Installers create Organization, Beauty &amp; Joy for our customers. It’s what we do and how we do it that sets Closet America apart from its competitors, making us the largest locally owned business of its kind in the CLT area. Installation Helpers go through intensive classroom and on-the-job training, working to the highest levels of their capability, with the goal of quickly elevating to the Installer level.

Pre check of van and job for the day to ensure all material is present and the van is properly stocked.
</li>
<li>
Perform installations at customers’ homes at prescribed times, taking care to protect their property.
</li>
<li>
Follow the Closet America processes and procedures for all functions to the letter.
</li>
<li>
Perform multi-step processes in a logical order, check your own work, and recognize and correct mistakes.
</li>
<li>
Maintain communication with Installation Manager throughout the day.
</li>
<li>
Clean workspace upon completion.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrate system to customers upon completion of installation.
</li>
<li>
Complete paperwork with customer and collect final payment
</li>
</ul>
Key Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>
Must have a valid driver's license 
</li>
<li>
Wood working experience preferred 
</li>
<li>
Ability to read and interpret design drawings, associating parts to proper assemblies. Ability to understand different hardware types and ability to do final surface detailing.
</li>
<li>
Ability to carry product through weather into workspaces and to assemble without damage.
</li>
<li>
Ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result.
</li>
<li>
Conduct and appearance is professional and to company standards and policies, with the ability to clearly communicate with customers and colleagues to assure expectations are met.
</li>
<li>
Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
</li>
<li>
Ability to work at least 2 weekends/month, and ability to manage personal and professional demands to help meet critical business needs as they arise
</li>
<li>
Ability to perform work accurately, to the mm, and thoroughly to CA quality levels.
</li>
<li>
Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
</li>
<li>
Ability to accept guidance and feedback from leadership and team-mates to strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
