Observers record detailed information on the gear and fishing activity of the vessels. Observers work on deck on vessels ranging from 30 to 90 on trips roughly ranging from 1 to 45 days collecting data on fish catch and bycatch, and incidental takes such as marine mammals, seabirds and marine turtles. After attending a 3-week paid training in-person training in Galveston, TX observers are deployed from ports throughout the Gulf of Mexico and southern Atlantic states. Gear types assessed include but are not limited to shrimp trawl, bottom longline, modified buoy gear, bandit reel, and handline. Training projected for end of March/ April timeframe.

Accommodations and meal reimbursement during in person session of training are provided.Training includes instructions on sampling protocols, gear, fisheries, fish identification, marine mammal/sea turtle identification, and safety.

This is a challenging job, and candidates must be mentally prepared to be away from home without access to internet or cellular telephone signal for multiple days and often weeks at a time. Candidates must be physically able to handle heavy lifting, working odd hours, and spending long days in rough seas. Many crews speak limited English compounding the effects of loneliness and isolation on long trips. Observing provides an excellent career in marine biology, as observers are widely recognized as being excellent field biologists. A broad range of advancement opportunities are available to those who demonstrate appropriate capabilities. Those opportunities include, but are not limited to, project management, field supervisors, and fieldwork in other programs.

Compensation:Observersstarting pay is $18.96/hour. Dependent on enrollment in our H&amp;W benefit, observers may also be eligible for anadditional $4.93/hourfor the first 40 hours worked on each calendar week for a total of$23.89 hour. This is a fulltime position with benefits.Annually, observers earn between $35K - $55K a yeardependent on their availability to deploy offshore and their personal sea day accomplishments. Observers will be paid a minimum of 8 hours for each calendar day offshore and are also eligible for additional compensable activities while on land.

Minimum Qualifications:

The Electroless Cuposit Operator plays a key role in the application and maintenance of the Electroless Cuposit process, a specialized chemical plating method used to deposit a uniform, conductive copper layer on non-conductive surfaces in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. This process is essential for forming interconnects through vias and drilled holes prior to electrolytic copper plating.
This position is responsible for preparing panels, managing the chemical bath parameters, analyzing process performance, and ensuring the Electroless Cuposit process meets production, quality, and reliability standards. 
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of four (4) years’ in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

The START Center for Cancer Research (“START”) is the world’s largest early phase site network, fully dedicated to oncology clinical research. Throughout our history, START has provided hope to cancer patients in global community practices by offering access to cutting edge trials throughout the US and Europe. Today, with over 1,300 studies completed, and with research facilities in the United States and in Spain, Portugal, and Ireland, START’s mission is to accelerate the development of new anticancer drugs that will improve the quality of life and survival for patients with cancer and lead to its eventual cure. To date, over 43 therapies conducted at START locations have obtained FDA/EMA approval. Incredibly, while Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) conduct 80% of cancer trials, such trials reach only 20% of the patient population – leaving the majority of patients who are treated in community practices and hospitals without access to a clinical trial when their care journey calls for one. START serves the many – by bringing cancer trials to physicians and their patients in community hospitals and practices when hope is needed most.

We are hiring an Administrative Research Assistant at our START Mountain office located in West Valley City, UT. This is an on-site role with day shift working hours. This role will assist the Clinical Research Coordinators in all tasks to support their roles. It will require an understanding of research terminology and basic protocol interpretation.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm
Essential Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Collect, de-identify, enter, and transmit clinical data in CRFs, including images, lab results, and ECGs; resolve corrections and queries for investigational drug studies.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators to ensure data accuracy, query resolution, and protocol adherence.</li>
<li>Assist with study setup, including Eligibility, Study Schedules, Flow Sheets, and CTMS upkeep (e.g., tracking visits, IRB re-consents, SAEs, and deviations).</li>
<li>Maintain current data transmissions, provide support to onsite/remote monitors, and ensure compliance with regulations and EDC system guidelines.</li>
<li>Contact patients for follow-up per protocol and attend study-related meetings (e.g., site initiation, Roster, and Forms Committee).</li>
<li>Support lab certification by identifying lab facilities and normal lab values for assigned studies.</li>
<li>Communicate with accounts receivable staff as needed and perform other tasks as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Required Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>One year of research administrative experience within a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or research organization.</li>
<li>Knowledge and training in general office administration skills, including computer applications, filing systems, etc.</li>
<li>Familiarity with medical terminology.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and a sense of timeliness in completing projects.</li>
<li>Must be detail-oriented and able to understand instructions and work independently.</li>

The individual will provide the consulting skills required to analyze customer needs and gaps to propose solutions for the desired state. He or she will work with business users and managers of customers in conjunction with the internal Zifo support team.
