The base salary range for this role is $273,500 to $290,700 per year based on a full-time schedule. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Pre-Billing Prior Authorization Specialist
This individual is responsible for all aspects of the prior authorization process, including collecting necessary documents, contacting providers and patients for additional information or assistance, and completing required prior authorizations. This position also works closely with the Benefits Verification Team to validate patients' insurance plans. The role will spend the majority of its time ensuring all pertinent medical documentation is accurate and complete prior to submission, maintaining a strong understanding of insurance company requirements and authorization/referral guidelines, submitting and following up on assigned authorization requests, obtaining authorizations via payer websites or by phone, and regularly following up on pending cases, as well as contacting referring physician offices for additional information when needed.

Your Role:

<li>Conduct exams, screenings, and comprehensive dental treatments (restorative, endodontics, oral surgery) for military personnel.</li>
<li>Utilize mobile equipment to deliver quality care in non-traditional settings.</li>
</ul>
 
Requirements:
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Licensure &amp; Certification: Active, unrestricted state dental license and CPR/BLS certification.</li>
<li>Preferred Skills: Experience with mobile dental equipment, military experience a plus, and computer proficiency.</li>
<li>Availability: Participation is flexible and completely up to you—choose events that fit your schedule, with a focus on weekend availability to support military readiness</li>
</ul>
*Verification of licensure and a Malpractice check will be conducted for all providers.
