Site Director/Teachers

Stanford University, in conjunction with its IDEAL initiative, is pleased to announce that it is seeking to appoint four to five early career fellows engaged in the study of race and ethnicity. The purpose of this program is to support the work of early-career researchers, who will lead the next generation of scholarship in race and ethnicity and whose work will point the way forward for reshaping race relations in America. Fellowships may be in any of the seven schools in the University (Business, Doerr School of Sustainability, Education, Engineering, Humanities &amp; Sciences, Law, Medicine).
Applicants will be asked to identify the school or department that aligns with the field of their Ph.D. The selected fellows will be assigned a faculty mentor from their home department or school and will have the opportunity to be involved with the other early career fellows and Stanford faculty in a variety of activities. Informally, they will be invited to lunches and dinners to meet with other Stanford faculty who share their interests. They also will be invited to engage with the intellectual programming offered by the African and African-American Studies program, the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and the Martin Luther King Research and Education Institute.
The early career fellows will have an opportunity each year to teach one course that will be cross-listed in the curricula of the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and/or the African and African American Studies program. This course may be taught by the fellow or the fellow may team-teach a course with another member of the Stanford faculty. The fellows also will be involved in the organization of a major conference that brings to Stanford scholars who are at the forefront of scholarship in the study of race and ethnicity.
Criteria: Scholars interested in any field of study are accepted. Early career fellows should have received their terminal degree (PhD, JD, MFA, EdD, DSW, etc.) prior to the start of the fellowship. Selection criteria include the originality and quality of the research, as well as demonstrated potential for intellectual achievement. The term of these fellowships is three years, with a start date of September 1, 2024. To be eligible for an early career fellowship, a candidate must have received their terminal degree no earlier than September 1, 2021.
Applicants for early career fellowships should submit their applications electronically and include a cover letter (detailing the candidate’s interest in the position), curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, a statement of teaching interests, samples of written work, and three letters of recommendation (provide contact information for each and a system generated request will be delivered to each referee). IDEAL Provostial Fellows for Studies in Race and Ethnicity

The Arnold School of Public Health (ASPH) and the College of Nursing (CON) at the University of South Carolina (USC) invite applications for six tenure-track faculty positions as part of the inaugural NIH-funded USC FIRST FIIRRE program. The multi-year NIH FIRST (Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation) initiative intends to enhance inclusive excellence at competitively determined institutions across the United States. In the context of USC's strategic plan, the FIRST FIIRRE (Faculty Initiative for Improved Recruitment, Retention, and Experience) team has developed a tailored strategy to achieve significant and sustainable institutional culture change by implementing institutional programs and practices that support inclusive excellence. As part of the FIRST FIIRRE cluster recruitment, USC seeks diverse candidates from all areas of public health and nursing who (1) have a research focus on health disparities or inequities within their respective discipline, (2) have a strong record of promoting diversity and inclusive excellence, and (3) have not previously held a tenure-track position.
Successful candidates will have a primary tenure track appointment in either ASPH or CON with the possibility of joint/secondary appointments to other units. Superintendent, Grand Rapids Christian School

The mission of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) is to support the readiness of America’s Warfighter and the health and well-being of the military community by educating and developing uniformed health professionals, scientists, and leaders; by conducting cutting-edge, military-relevant research, and by providing operational support to units around the world.
The USU Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology (MPS), F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine (SOM), in Bethesda, Maryland, invites applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-eligible track). MPS has a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association. Duties:&nbsp;The incumbent will serve as an Assistant or Associate Professor in MPS, and as such, will be responsible for teaching MPS graduate-level courses in areas of major expertise, mentoring military and/or civilian doctoral students, overseeing thesis and dissertation studies, and providing lectures to medical and graduate students as needed. The incumbent will engage in programmatic research with the expectation to develop a nationally visible, extramurally supported program of research in support of USU and/or the DoD mission. The incumbent will also assist with curriculum design, engage with multiple administrative assignments, contribute to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives across the University, and participate in professional, university, and departmental service activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements: Requires a minimum of an earned Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, or relevant psychology field from an accredited university or institution; experience in graduate-level teaching and mentorship, curriculum design, and research; demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations in an inclusive manner; exceptional interpersonal skills; outstanding written and oral communication skills; academic accomplishments, reflected by scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals appropriate to the academic rank; and active membership and involvement in scholarly societies.
The successful candidate must be academically qualified for a faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in accordance with SOM and USU academic policies.
The following knowledge and/or experiences are highly desirable but not a requirement:&nbsp;Administrative and/or leadership experience; openness to working with military and/or veteran populations; and grant-writing skills
