About being our Biologist - On Call
This position would primarily support work generated by our Environmental Group based out of the either the Santa Ana, Riverside, or Pasadena offices, but may also support other Psomas offices as needed. As an On-call Biologist, this position would be overseen by a Project Manager or Biological Resources Manager within our Resource Management Team. This position would primarily be an as-needed field position conducting a variety of tasks based on the Biologist's experience that may include pre-activity surveys, construction monitoring, nesting bird surveys, assisting with focused surveys for plants or wildlife (depending on qualifications), vegetation mapping and associated documentation tasks, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position.
 
This position may also work with a team of biologists to accomplish focused surveys or other field tasks. The Biologist would be also expected to prepare monitoring forms and possibly short letter reports (with guidance). A Biologist permitted/qualified to survey for special status plants, California gnatcatcher, least Bell's vireo, and/or to handle special status species would be a definite plus.
