CHEMICAL OPERATOR
Our company is currently seeking a skilled and experienced PETN Chemical Operator for our explosive manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical and chemical experience, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of mechanical and chemical aptitude. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production line equipment, handling and packaging finished goods, loading raw materials, monitoring the production process, operating loading machinery, maintaining work area and equipment, carrying out basic quality and testing checks, data logging, and reporting any issues with equipment directly to supervision. The applicant must be willing and able to cross-train into all positions within the PETN process. The applicant must understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (Work Instructions) and production directives without deviation. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit, stand, climb stairs and qualify for all required PPE.

<li>Self-performs or directs junior staff in the installation of soil borings, monitoring wells, remediation activities, waste management and disposal, and other field requirements using standard operating procedures (SOPs). Self-performs and may direct junior staff in the performance of engineering design, permitting, OM&amp;M, remedy process optimization, and environmental compliance.</li>
<li>Acts as the primary author for site work plans and proposals for routine scopes of work on low/medium priority projects, and co-author for complex scopes of work including comprehensive site characterizations and remedial actions. Co-authors comprehensive site characterizations and remedial action plans. These reports contain multiple level and interrelated interpretations and conclusions as well as provide recommendations based upon conclusions with focus on conceptual site model development.</li>
<li>May manage various level priority projects by providing technical, regulatory, and financial project support. Technical responsibilities may include monitoring contaminant concentrations, fate and transport analysis, QA/QC of data collected and documents generated, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. </li>
<li>Provides technical, regulatory, and financial project support for O&amp;M sites. Technical responsibilities may include monitoring contaminant concentrations, site remediation activities, quality of data collected and documents generated, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. </li>
<li>Knowledgeable of pertinent regulations and their application to the compliance and progression of the projects. </li>
<li>Performs hydrogeological assessments regarding groundwater flows to identify contamination impact and related concerns. </li>
<li>Researches information relating to identifying geological formations and soil delineation studies and prepares reports and geological maps based on the findings.</li>
<li>Participates in the identification of viable remedial solutions consistent with all federal, state, and local regulations </li>
<li>Procures and manages subcontractors and vendors for completion of project tasks (e.g., trenching and excavation, system construction, and electrical work), including supplier bid package development.</li>
