<li>Navigate proficiently through EHR.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Schedule patients appropriately and accurately utilizing scheduling software (i.e.Radix).&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Various scheduling includes in person, electronic, no shows, etc.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<li>Use customer service principles and techniques to assist patients calmly and professionally.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serve as point of contact for patients entering and leaving the care center.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Manage new patient process per current workflow.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collect all payments due at time-of-service.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Communicate with other departments as needed.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Pre-visit Planning:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Conduct insurance verification and eligibility for services.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Update patient demographics.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Utilize insurance portals to verify eligibility.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collaborate with Eligibility &amp; Benefits department.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Communicate with patients to resolve insurance verification discrepancies.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Ensure all documents are processed accurately per current policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Comply with all Villages Health compliance and privacy and security policies and ensuring all HIPAA protocols are followed to ensure patient confidentiality.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Reconcile cash and other patient payments and verify with the daily financials.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Education/Experience Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum one year clerical/billing experience in a health care organization.</li>
<li>Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures and overall understanding of medical office flow.</li>
<li>Proficient skills in computer programs.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Customer service skills.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Skillful in multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively and work with others.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to communicate calmly and clearly with patients.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret medical charts.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Operate standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, calculators, etc.</li>
