Location
This role is based at our Washington, D.C. plant. Working hours for the role will be&nbsp;Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM EST.&nbsp;Occasional weekend hours and overtime may be required, to support plant maintenance or emergency situations, as needed.&nbsp;
Primary Purpose of Position
Join Constellation as a Plant Electrician and be a key player in our Combined Heat and Power Facility!
As a Plant Electrician you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing and repair of plant equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Plant equipment includes motor control centers, electrical switchgear, plant control systems, gas conditioning system, instrumentation and controls, breakers, motors, miscellaneous electrical systems and other associated equipment. Manage contractors and repairs to high voltage systems. Duties and responsibilities may include other associated tasks as directed by the Combined Heat and Power Plant Manager.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
<ul>
<li>Work as a member of the Combined Heat and Power Facility Operations and Maintenance Team.</li>
<li>Diagnose system and equipment problems, equipment includes generators, motors, breakers, switches, and other electrical gear from 480 V up to 13.8 kV.</li>
<li>Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant electrical equipment and systems.</li>
<li>Assist in planning and scheduling work for outages.</li>
<li>Maintain custody records of electrical calibration equipment.</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with industry electrical safety standards.</li>
<li>Assist in vendor sourcing to ensure the best value and highest quality for the DC Water Cogeneration Facility.</li>
<li>Install revisions or modifications to plant systems, update controls drawings and schematics.</li>
<li>Follow all approved plant operating, maintenance and health and safety procedures.</li>
<li>Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Decisions are made based on formal procedures, calculations, deductive reasoning, and consultation with supervisor.</li>
<li>Schedule and status activities for both outage and non-outage work scope</li>
<li>Assist in the administration and execution of the preventative maintenance program.</li>
<li>Assist in maintaining and controlling the plant electrical inventory system.</li>
<li>Perform calibrations and testing of equipment maintain custody records of calibration and test equipment.</li>
<li>Perform other duties, as assigned. Other duties may include assisting with mechanical maintenance, equipment calibrations, general housekeeping, etc.</li>
<li>This position may be required to work overtime to support vacations, plant outages, emergency work, etc.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High school diploma and 5 years electrical maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience</li>
<li>Technical trades training (trade or military), such as electrical certifications or similar certifications</li>
<li>Understanding of Medium Voltage Systems (480 volts up to 13.8 kV) and their maintenance</li>
<li>Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, basic steam plant and combustion turbine knowledge</li>
<li>Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&amp;IDs)</li>

Will be working with the molding and demolding of shell blocks for core manufacturing. This role works with cleaning and preparation, liner block assembly, and transfer to ovens, operation of molding block vibration/vacuum chambers, and operation of induction slurry heating and mixing equipment.
 
How You’ll Make an Impact
<ul>
<li>Trained and signed off on Demonstrated Skills Checklist for Mercury, Molding and Demolding Technician. Completes LOTO training for specific molding and demolding unit operations. Completes and is certified on motorized lifts and forklifts in the building.</li>
<li>Check daily molding schedule and requirements and able to prepare the area, set up for operations, and do updates to work schedule or safety items.</li>
<li>Perform CTQ Audits and basic Housekeeping throughout the shift.</li>
<li>Ensures the correct part-specific work instruction is pulled up on the production system screen (Mercury) while performing any operation in the molding cell.</li>
<li>Process the assembly blocks, or parts for inputs to the blocks according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The ability to read, understand, and follow part-specific work instructions is necessary.</li>

Generator Rotor Assembler (Shift 2 Mon-Fri, 4pm-12am)

<h3>Job Description</h3>
A Snapshot of Your Day At 4:00 PM, the team gathers with the supervisor for a shift kickoff meeting to discuss a daily safety topic, job assignments, and shift goals. Following the meeting, the focus shifts to the assigned lathe, where machining of a new generator rotor shaft begins. Upon arrival at the lathe, the electronic production system is accessed to review shop notes from the previous shift. Work instructions are then consulted, and equipment is set up for the production order. The machine setup is completed by adjusting the steady rests and changing the steady rest shoes to the correct diameter. Once the setup is finalized, collaboration with a crane operator facilitates the loading of the rotor into the lathe. After aligning the rotor, the necessary cutting tool for the first operation is installed. Machining operations commence and continue until the end of the shift. Before leaving, shop notes are documented in the electronic production system for the third shift team, allowing for a smooth transition in machining. The rotor will remain in the lathe for the next seven days, undergoing machining operations across three shifts each day. How You'll Make an Impact

Expected salary range:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

<li>Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.</li>
<li>Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.</li>
<li>Provide complete task management of engineering issues.</li>
<li>Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.</li>
<li>Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.</li>
<li>Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.</li>
<li>Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 Engineer

<li>Bachelor&amp;rsquos degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience</li>
<li>Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 Engineer
<ul>
