Position: Middle/High School World Language Teacher (Spanish)
Rate: Up to $50 per hourFocused Staffing Group is on the lookout for a certified Spanish Teacher to work with high school students in Phoenixville, PA.The duties of a World Language (Spanish) Teacher include creating lesson plans, preparing classroom activities, organizing teaching materials, evaluating student performance, maintaining classroom records, meeting with parents, teachers, and other professionals, and participating in campus events. Candidates should be passionate about teaching and celebrating the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. Who values diversity, highly motivated, and will demand excellence from themselves and their students.
Duties and Responsibilities

Organize and maintain all classrooms and equipment in functioning order.
Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning through organization and planning.
Teach and apply safety principles as part of all instruction.
Maintain student records including all required paperwork.
Demonstrate appropriate planning and the use of a variety of instructional instruction techniques and strategies.
Communicate with students, parents or guardians, and other staff, maintaining an open positive relationship as appropriate to provide guidance and evaluation, and to encourage student achievement.
Establish classroom goals and objectives, in conformation with courses of study specified by State and School District statutes, regulations, and guidelines.
Evaluate and record student progress; prepare reports for parents or guardians.
Attend staff meetings Team meetings and department meetings as scheduled.
Exhibit life-long learning practices (Continuing Education/Staff Development participation).
Maintain confidentiality
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
Pennsylvania teaching certificate
Strong instructional and classroom management skills
Must be fluent and have strong Spanish grammar and vocabulary knowledge.
Deep content area knowledge
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, sit, and use fingers, tools or controls. The employee must occasionally reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material, adjusting focus, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs.
