Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Soils Engineer, P.E. to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing soil properties and providing engineering solutions for various projects. The role requires a deep understanding of soil mechanics and environmental engineering principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soil analysis and testing to evaluate soil properties and behavior under various conditions.
- Provide expert consultation on soil mechanics and environmental considerations for engineering projects.
- Develop and review foundation designs based on soil conditions and engineering principles.
- Perform site investigations to assess soil and environmental conditions for project planning.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of soil studies and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with ASTM standards and other relevant regulations in all soil-related engineering work.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to integrate soil engineering into overall project design and implementation.
- Assist in project management tasks by providing technical guidance and oversight on soil-related aspects of projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and environmental engineering principles.
- Experience in foundation design and site investigation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing and analysis of soil and construction materials.
- Understanding of ASTM standards and regulations related to soil engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software is a plus.
- Excellent report writing skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
