Job Description:

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time

Salary: $16.50 per hour (Opportunity for pay increases after successful probationary period.)
Schedule: Day shift, Mid shift*, and Overnight shift available* with openings Monday-Sunday

Work Location: Hybrid

*Shift differential available for Mid and Overnight shifts.


Summary:

In your role as a Service Desk Specialist, you are expected to offer quick and helpful technical support related to computer systems. You will address questions about fundamental technical issues and suggest solutions. This position demands a solid understanding of technology and effective communication skills to grasp the problem and convey its resolution. Furthermore, you must be customer-centric and exhibit patience when interacting with difficult clients.

Requirements:

Duties Include:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Continuously monitor active assignments and proactively address any arising issues.
  • Contribute to threat hunting efforts by identifying anomalous behaviors, potential threats, and areas for enhanced visibility.
  • Evaluate the severity and potential impact of identified vulnerabilities on our systems. Provide actionable recommendations for remediation and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with IT and operations teams to facilitate timely vulnerability remediation.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 operational setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role?
  • Flexibility for potential schedule adjustments as the team expands
  • Demonstrated ability of analytical expertise; paying close attention to details while using critical, logical and solution-oriented thinking
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues?
