Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine maintenance and repair, with the ability to work on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake repair.
• Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to assess vehicle conditions and identify necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
• Collaborate with team members to transmit information regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required during the repair process, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Work with OEM parts and equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Must be available for on call emergencies.

Qualifications

• 5+ year of experience
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, components, and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• CDL required
• Experience working with Mack and Caterpillar machinery is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
