JOB SUMMARY
Master Technology Group (MTG) specializes in the design, installation, and service of commercial property technologies locally and nationally.
The Service Project Manager - Fire/Security is responsible for estimating, proposing, and coordinating the execution of smaller projects and service work for our local and national clients. The primary product focus includes fire alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion solutions. Knowledge of other low-voltage disciplines is a plus. Typical projects managed by this role are less than a week in duration and valued below $10,000 (service-level).
An MTG Service Project Manager must deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining strong professional relationships with team members, coordination staff, clients, vendors, and partners. Additionally, this role involves providing in-depth technical and programming support to MTG technicians, remote subcontractor technicians, national coordinators, and clients to ensure successful project execution and ongoing service quality.
The position demands strong technical aptitude, communication skills, organization, and multi-tasking capabilities to manage and process a high volume of project activity daily. The Service Project Manager—Fire/Security reports to the Manager of Local Service.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professional relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and team members
· Oversee and direct the execution of service-level work both locally and nationally, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, codes, safety standards, and best trade practices
· Collaborate with the Business Development and Operations teams, clients, and prospects to identify and qualify service opportunities
· Design solutions and develop project scopes in partnership with clients, trade partners, LSPs, and the MTG Design team
· Solicit labor bids when necessary and select and oversee LSPs to ensure quality and timely project completion
· Prepare accurate project estimates by determining materials, labor, equipment requirements, and associated costs
· Use standardized templates to create proposals, scope of work (SOW), warranty statements, and related documents
· Create and deliver necessary project scopes, diagrams, material lists, and other pertinent documents to guide field personnel in executing the work
· Coordinate service requests, site access, materials, tools, and resources to ensure readiness and efficiency
· Provide technical guidance and programming support to MTG technicians, LSP technicians, the national team, and clients to ensure successful project and service execution
· Manage procurement activities, including obtaining competitive pricing, ensuring timely delivery, and managing credits for materials and equipment rentals
· Monitor project and service work progress to ensure on-time completion, adherence to MTG quality standards, and achievement of margin and profitability expectations
· Manage the project completion process, including communication, documentation, and finalization of all tasks
· Accurately document costs and customer pricing in the ERP system for billing purposes
· Enter opportunities promptly to support revenue and workforce planning
· Collaborate with the Finance department to ensure accurate accounts receivable and payable
· Stay informed about industry technology, standards, and best practices
· Perform additional organizational duties as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years of low-voltage industry experience required
· 3+ years of practical field experience, including cabling, device installation, termination, panel wiring, programming, and troubleshooting
· 1-3 years proven experience estimating and project managing fire alarm, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion solution installations
· High school graduate or equivalent (minimum)
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
· Computer proficiency in a Windows environment using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
· Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
· Willing and able to multitask in a fast-paced, multi-project-based environment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Base Salary $80,000 - $90,000+ DOQ
