Responsibilities

• Act as Tier 2 escalation point for incidents unresolved by Tier 1; troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate to Tier 3 as required.
• Provide technical support for SATCOM systems (iDirect, Tampa Microwave, StarShield, Lite Coms, L-3), RHN Gateways, teleport architectures, and deployable baseband systems.
• Support deployable radios (LMR, HF, narrowband), VTC, IP telephony, WAN optimization, and encryption systems (HAIPE, AES-256, CSfC).
• Operate service desk as single point of contact for USNORTHCOM users; manage incident resolution, service request lifecycle, and customer communication.
• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot SIPRNet/NIPRNet connectivity, encryption devices, and satellite access requests (SARs/SAAs/GARs/GAAs).
• Support surge operations during contingencies and National Special Security Events (NSSEs).

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (five additional years of relevant experience may substitute).
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with deployable communications systems.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required.
• VSAT certification(s) or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
• At least one DoD 8140/8570 Workforce Element certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting satellite, routing, switching, server, and tactical communications systems.
• Active Secret clearnace
