Engineering Manager – HVAC Design
Wichita, KS Area | Full-Time | On-Site
Are you an experienced Engineering Leader with a passion for HVAC design and product innovation? We’re seeking an Engineering Manager – HVAC Design to lead a team of engineers in developing next-generation HVAC products that deliver value, meet safety and code requirements, and accelerate time-to-market.
This is a working manager role, where you’ll not only oversee and mentor a team but also manage your own projects—making a direct impact on product development and company growth.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor design engineers, technicians, and interns to achieve strategic goals.
- Oversee HVAC product development from concept to launch, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality.
- Collaborate with supply chain, sales, product management, and lab teams.
- Track KPIs and project progress to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and ensure adherence to Phase Gate processes.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing engineering teams.
- Strong project management and budget management skills.
- Knowledge of UL/CSA requirements and HVAC design principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and CAD (SolidWorks) a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
