Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital Patrol in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind for staff, patients, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will be visible throughout the facility, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to situations with care and professionalism, embodying Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken according to site protocols.
- Assist staff, patients, and visitors by providing directions, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
- Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations in accordance with healthcare facility policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as mandated by the client.
- A minimum of six months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
