Job Description
Viridan Group is working with one of the fastest-growing renewable energy IPPs in the U.S. with a focus on developing, financing, constructing and long-term operating solar and BESS projects across America.
They are currently looking to hire a commercially-astute attorney with a track record of advising on renewable energy projects and transactions. Specifically, they're seeking project-level experience relating to renewable energy project financing and offtake agreements.
What You’ll Do
As Structured Finance Counsel, you’ll partner closely with their finance and legal teams to support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project finance transactions. You’ll serve as a legal and strategic advisor throughout the full deal lifecycle—from diligence and documentation to closing and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of financing documents related to project and structured finance transactions.
- Support and advise on key aspects of project documents, including power purchase agreements power purchase agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and equipment supply contracts.
- Advise on tax equity and monetization structures, such as partnership flips, sale-leasebacks, and tax credit transfer agreements.
- Lead the legal execution of transaction closings
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in project finance, ideally within the renewable energy sector
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission
