Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of litigation matters, focusing on motor vehicle defense, construction accidents, premises liability, product liability, and uninsured motorist claims. The Litigation Associate will support senior attorneys in case preparation, research, and courtroom appearances while also managing their own caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in case preparation and strategy development for litigation matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case positions
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Attend depositions, hearings, and court appearances as required
- Manage a caseload of cases, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation cases
- Communicate with clients regarding case status and legal options
- Prepare for and participate in trial proceedings
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active attorney license in the relevant state
- 2+ years of experience in litigation, with a focus on motor vehicle defense, construction accident, premises liability, or product liability
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
