Job Description:

The Software Engineering IV role will be a part of a committed product development team in Phoenix, AZ. The work involves design, development, and deployment of a variety of software applications, primarily websites, that serve over 30K staff and students in our A+ rated school district.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the product team to develop next generation applications.
• Implement technical features, improvements, and innovations.

Essential Functions:

• Experience in software development, systems analysis, and technical writing.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment.
• Possess good interpersonal skills.
• Be dynamic and adaptable to change.
• Ensure data security and privacy at all levels.
• Set the highest ethical standards for self and others.
• Use programming languages like PHP / JavaScript / CSS / HTML to design and create responsive websites.
• Familiarity with software patterns and/or modern design methodology.
• Object-Oriented Design and Analysis

Qualifications:

• Experience in using different front-end technologies, frameworks and software design patterns.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
• Strong skills at documenting design and implementation of software processes.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Object Oriented Software development/maintenance experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science or related), or related with 2 years prior related experience.
• Laminas / EmberJS experience.
• Apache2 / LAMP / MySQL experience.
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery experience.
• Containerization (i.e. Docker) experience.
• GUI design and development.
• Strong understanding of RESTful services
• Familiarity with software lifecycle process.
