Job Description

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Site - Full Time in Belcamp, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, employees, and vendors entering the facility. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, verifying credentials, managing access control, and providing clear information and assistance with a focus on exceptional customer service. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible and professional presence at the front desk, monitoring entry and exit activity, and responding promptly to inquiries or concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including communication with appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
  • Support Allied Universal management by reporting any unusual activity or security-related concerns observed at the front desk area.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals at the location, providing information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
