ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:

We are seeking a skilled FPI Technician to perform non-destructive testing using fluorescent penetrant methods. This role ensures the integrity of metallic components by detecting surface-breaking defects in accordance with industry standards and company specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute end-to-end FPI process: pre-cleaning, penetrant application, dwell time control, excess removal, drying, developer application, and UV-A inspection
  • Interpret and record indications; determine part disposition per specifications


  • Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
  • Maintain FPI equipment and process controls (e.g., UV intensity checks, developer coverage, system checks)
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and complete all documentation accurately
  • Safely handle parts and chemicals; adhere to all EHS procedures and hazardous waste protocols
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to clarify requirements and improve processes


What You Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • NDT Level II certification in PT/FPI per NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A (or equivalent documented training/experience)
  • 2-5 years of FPI experience on metallic components (aerospace or gas-turbine parts preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and work instructions
  • Familiarity with ASTM E1417, AMS 2644, and quality systems (e.g., QSi, SAP)
  • Must pass near-vision and color-vision exams required for NDT
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate small cranes



COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $19.25-$22.00 per hour
  • 100%-paid medical (or a medical waiver of $300 per month if you're already covered)
