Job Description: The Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering team and operations departments to improve efficiency, quality and assist in creating and maintaining the 3D CAD parts library.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and maintenance of top assemblies in SolidWorks & NX
- Performs reverse engineering of parts, parts validation, and development of the 3D CAD parts library.
- Gathers and maintains detailed vendor data.
- Performs product analysis by cross-referencing physical parts with their respective 3D models for dimensional accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in technical degree or related field. Must be local to Orlando, FL.
- Must be available for 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some knowledge of other CAD applications (NX, AutoCAD, Rhino).
- Manufacturing experience desired, does not need to be within the marine industry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, a normal office environment, or a factory environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains high fiberglass and dust environment.
Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory including but not limited to safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.
Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their workday. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
