Job Summary:
A well-established law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Wilmington office. This role supports a team of attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice, with a focus on civil, employment, insurance defense, and municipal matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of litigation experience in North Carolina, strong knowledge of court procedures, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, edit, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials

Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings

Coordinate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel

Maintain and organize case files, both physical and digital

Draft correspondence and legal forms with attention to detail and accuracy

Perform e-filing in both state and federal courts

Handle document redaction, scanning, and exhibit preparation

Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of legal filings

Assist with billing, invoice processing, and check requests for court fees

Support multiple attorneys and manage competing priorities efficiently
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting

Strong understanding of North Carolina court rules and procedures

Proficiency in state and federal e-filing systems

Experience in civil litigation, employment law, insurance defense, or municipal law preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with document management systems is a plus

Typing speed of at least 70 WPM

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Pay Details: $42,000.00 to $52,000.00 per year
