JOB TITLE: Project Manager – Commercial / Multifamily

We Search People is partnered with a nationally recognized, market-leading real estate investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use communities. This organization develops and operates high-quality, differentiated multifamily and commercial projects across the United States.
They are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join a growing construction and development team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a key member of the construction team supporting commercial and multifamily developments from preconstruction through closeout and occupancy
- Provide day-to-day management, technical direction, supervision, and coordination of construction activities while representing ownership interests
- Participate in and support all phases of design, construction, closeout, and occupancy, including preconstruction planning and design development
- Review, redline, and coordinate all construction documents and specifications to ensure scope clarity and constructability
- Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and monthly cost projections to ensure financial performance aligns with project goals
- Perform and oversee change management processes including PCOs, OCOs, pricing review, negotiation, and communication with the broader project team
- Prepare and manage overall development and construction schedules, including updates and milestone tracking
- Oversee document control processes including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, punch lists, deficiencies, and closeout documentation
- Lead and support contract administration efforts including scope development, contract negotiation, issuance, and compliance
- Manage general contractors, vendors, consultants, and other owner-hired third parties from project commencement through closeout
- Support procurement of municipal approvals, permits, certifications, and regulatory compliance as required
- Reinforce and lead safety management efforts, including OSHA compliance, safety documentation, and coaching of project teams (OSHA 30 required)
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with the majority focused on project management within a commercial real estate environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar)
- OSHA 30 Certification
