IT Project Manager
Springfield, MA
Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Responsibilities:
Our client, a leading organization in the insurance and financial services space, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead high-impact, enterprise-level initiatives. This individual will oversee complex, cross-functional projects that require coordination across multiple business units, disciplines, and vendor teams.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of fast-paced, high-visibility technical and business initiatives.

Manage large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects—ensuring alignment with strategic goals, on-time delivery, and adherence to budget.

Collaborate with executives, stakeholders, and technical teams to define milestones, manage risks, and drive decision-making.

Oversee supplier collaboration and vendor relationships, ensuring project alignment with organizational and program roadmaps.

Facilitate planning, integration, and change management across workstreams and systems.

Identify and resolve complex issues and dependencies between teams, proactively removing obstacles to maintain project momentum.

Champion continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives across delivery teams.

Lead and mentor project team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Qualifications

8+ years of experience in technical project management or IT delivery, with proven success using standard project management tools and methodologies.

5+ years managing large, enterprise-level programs or high-visibility initiatives.

Strong technical background, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.

Experience managing supplier/vendor delivery and relationships.

Working knowledge of mainframe or legacy system implementations.

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.

Able to lead through ambiguity and influence across teams.

Entrepreneurial, action-oriented mindset with a passion for driving results.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
