Overview
Better Life Plan is a dynamic and growing company that assists clients with their debt settlement programs through our relationships with attorneys and law firms across the United States. BLP is seeking a motivated and caring Paralegal to draft Pro Se answers related to consumer debt and creditor lawsuits. Individuals should be self-starters while working in a team-oriented environment and have a strong attention to detail with a focus on providing the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Critically analyze and interpret legal documents
- Professionally communicate with a network of Attorneys
- Use company templates to draft Pro Se answers
- Make attorney requested edits as needed
- Deliver final answer with filing instructions to the client
- Manage and prioritize workload via company CRM software
- Answer consumer questions in rare circumstances
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXERIENCE
Required:
- High School Degree or equivalent experience
- Paralegal Certification or Degree
Preferred
- 1 year or more experience as Paralegal drafting pleadings
- Experience in FDCPA guidelines
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABLITIES:
Language Ability
- Communicate both verbally and in written format at an intermediate level
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Outlook

Job Type: Full-time; Weekly Pay; Non-Exempt
Work schedule: Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm EST
Pay: $16.00 per hour ($17.00 per hour if Spanish Bi-lingual - read, write, speak)
