Summary

We’re seeking a skilled RF Technician to join our growing team. This role involves hands-on installation, diagnostics, and design of BDA/DAS systems and other wireless communication technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair radio communication systems including:
    • Low Band, VHF/UHF, 800/900 MHz analog/digital systems
    • Simulcast, trunking, paging, telemetry, and microwave systems
    • Base stations, repeaters, remote controls, multiplexers, antenna systems
    • Dispatch consoles, PA systems, BDA/DAS systems, and solar-powered systems
  • ️ Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting using industry-standard test equipment (service monitors, watt meters, analyzers)
  • Program and configure radio systems, including Linked Capacity Plus & Site Connect Technologies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team leadership
  • ️ Maintain documentation and provide technical support for installed systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in radio and wireless communications
  • Strong understanding of two-way radio theory and RF principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and radio programming software
  • Familiarity with battery backup systems, multicouplers, duplexers, and basic networking
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in the field

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in electronic communications repair (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Preferred Certifications

  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)
  • CET (Certified Electronics Technician – ETA)
  • NICET Level 2
  • 06 Journey Level or Trainee Electrician License

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on customer needs)
