Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced ITSM Migration Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves assisting with the seamless migration from Zendesk Service Desk to Jira Service Management. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, or working remotely, you'll play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of this project.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the migration process from Zendesk Service Desk to Jira Service Management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Configure and optimize Jira Service Management to align with organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements for the migration.
• Provide expert guidance on data migration tools and techniques to facilitate a smooth transition.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process.
• Ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards throughout the project.
• Document procedures, configurations, and lessons learned during the migration.
• Conduct testing to validate the functionality and performance of the new system.
• Offer training and support to users on Jira Service Management post-migration.
• Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.• Proven experience in ITSM migrations, specifically from Zendesk Service Desk to Jira Service Management.
• Strong knowledge of Jira Service Management configuration and administration.
• Proficiency in data migration tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and project management frameworks.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management expertise.
• Solid understanding of IT project management principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira and Zendesk platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
