Summary The Field Service Chemist is responsible for ensuring the safe pick- up and transport of waste to and from customer facilities. Utilizing education and experience, this position serves as a subject matter expert with regard to profiling and packaging of chemical waste according to standard categories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Drives straight truck to and from customer locations.
- Prepares driving log according to state and federal regulations.
- Sorts and identifies hazardous and nonhazardous waste according to waste profiles.
- Packages, labels and manifests waste.
- Performs computer entry and inventory management.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive pick up instructions.
- Loads and transfers containers of hazardous and nonhazardous waste on and off truck.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Secures waste for transit.
- Assists in training new Field Service Chemists
- Overnight travel

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field of study; or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Security Clearance This position requires government security clearance as a contingency of employment.
