Aerotek is hiring a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing plant in Jackson, TN. These positions are direct hire on 3rdshift (6:30pm-7:00am 2-2-3 schedule) and will training on 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday for about 2-4 weeks). Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, mechanical, and production packaging equipment.
  • Manage robotic and electrical PLC equipment, focusing on controls, drives, pneumatics, and electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V.
  • Perform Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting, including logging in with a laptop, editing, and limited programming.
  • Conduct mechanical maintenance on weigh scales, conveyors, motors, belts, drives, sprockets, pneumatic lines, and more.
  • Complete daily maintenance logs and document downtime and repairs.
  • Execute preventative maintenance for robotic equipment and mechanical machinery.
  • Provide recommendations for tooling or machinery improvements.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance and automation processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and perform electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Robotic troubleshooting skills are strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or technical schooling preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled, well-lit manufacturing facility. Be prepared for occasional noise in certain areas where hearing protection is provided. The dress code includes hair and beard nets, with restrictions on facial piercings. Employees with acrylic nails or gel/dip polish must wear gloves. Steel-toed footwear is mandatory in all production areas.
