QTEC Aerospace is seeking a SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government in support of a Missile Defense System (MDS) with a mission of protecting the United States and our allies. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The selected candidate will support the U.S. Missile Defense System through the development of Modeling and Simulation applications used in warfighter training and exercises, concept evaluation, developmental engineering, testing and verification, and assessment. The candidate will support the development of modeling and simulation software and services for air and missile defense systems, while also working in a team environment designing, developing, testing, documenting, and integrating simulation products and services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Develop requirements, test new capabilities, document new features, and analyze simulation performance
• Interface with customers via event support and training events, as well as present technical briefings to stakeholders

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Systems Engineering Lifecycle background including requirements derivation
• Working knowledge of Agile and SAFe development methodologies
• Working knowledge of Software Development and Support Functions such as Configuration Management, Data Management, and Quality Assurance
• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience in applying model-based methodologies to process management
• Experience with Cameo for Model-Based Systems Engineering
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
• Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent time management
• Certifications: INCOSE ASEP, OCSMP - MU, Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Program from an accredited university, Agile Scrum, SAFe
• Understanding of Modeling and Simulation (M&S), specifically for ballistic missile systems
• Knowledge of software design and performance in IT infrastructures, networks and cloud solutions
• Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SSBI (SCI eligibility)

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.

Salary Range

The below salary range represents a general guideline; however, QTEC considers a number of factors when determining base salary such as the scope and responsibilities of the position as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $124,000
