We are seeking a Diagnostic Engineering Supervisor to lead, develop, and support our technical team. This role is critical in ensuring safety, quality, and innovation in the testing and analysis of electrical equipment—helping customers minimize downtime and extend the life of their power systems.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise a team of diagnostic technical staff, ensuring safety, productivity, and professional growth.
- Champion compliance with OSHA, ASTM, IEEE, NETA, CIGRE, and other industry standards.
- Integrate electrical and chemical data for clear, actionable analysis.
- Drive innovation with emerging technologies such as remote monitoring and partial discharge testing.
- Collaborate with SDMyers engineering teams on comprehensive equipment evaluations.
- Oversee business systems and processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives with data-driven insights.
- Provide coaching, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution for your team.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) OR equivalent relevant experience.
- 2–4 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of transformers and substation equipment a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, IEEE, NETA, CIGRE).
- Strong communication skills—you’ll serve as the hub between staff, departments, and leadership.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop technical teams.

Location: Most work is performed on-site at our Tallmadge, OH headquarters, with eligibility for hybrid work.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
