Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Director of Engineering who can oversee and coordinate complex vehicle integration and autonomous system projects. This is a working manager role where you will lead and coordinate the engineering team while also contributing technically to areas that match your strengths.
Ideal candidates will bring versatility across multiple engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and software and can oversee projects that span these areas. The Director of Engineering will serve as the technical and organizational focal point to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
- Coordinate across electrical, mechanical, and software teams to integrate vehicle systems, sensors, and drive‑by‑wire platforms.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for project planning, requirements alignment, and interdepartmental communication.
- Provide high-level engineering input across multiple disciplines to troubleshoot issues and guide project decisions.
- Oversee system testing, quality checks, and documentation for customer-facing deliveries.
- Collaborate with business development and operations teams to align engineering resources with customer and market needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and reliability standards during both lab and field operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Extensive experience in engineering roles, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and leading teams.
- Ability to project manage, problem solve and communicate effectively.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
