About the company: Our client is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney with construction experience to join a dynamic team in Oakland or the Diablo Valley. As a highly ranked regional law firm, this opportunity offers a very clear path to partnership, interesting work, a collaborative working environment, and a competitive compensation package. The annual minimum billable hours target is approximately 1600.
About the Role: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of litigation experience, with a proven track record of managing cases on their own. Significant experience with construction litigation is essential. Matters include construction and real estate disputes, contract law, and insurance coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of cases on your own.
- Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on a range of construction-related matters.
- Conduct legal research, prepare legal briefs, and deliver compelling oral arguments.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure excellent service.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives.
- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and legal support staff.
Qualifications:
- Active membership in the California State Bar is required.
- Demonstrated excellence in academic performance.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and case management abilities.
- Minimum of 5+ years of construction litigation experience.
Pay range and compensation package: This position provides a competitive compensation range of approximately $180,000.00-$380,000 (depending on experience). There is a lucrative bonus structure for hours billed (by Associates and Counsels) in excess of the minimum. For Partners, total compensation varies depending on working attorney fees and origination fees.
