Summary

MNAe MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain - Savannah is searching for a qualified building maintenance technician to work alongside our security and maintenance staff to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean, safe, well maintenance place. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist in all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities and is a full-time, on-site role responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems while ensuring the overall appearance of Mobis Richmond Hill and Ellabell facilities-both in and around the campus. Duties include running routine facility inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, and maintaining, and records. Our ideal candidate exhibits high multitasking and organizational abilities.

MOBIS North America electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are vital parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.

Essential Functions

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Lead the facilities maintenance staff; participate in analyzing problems and replacement and repair in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and bathroom.
  • Work with Facility Specialist/ Manager for creating a "punch" list of maintenance work needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.
  • Completes Weekly / Monthly Preventative Maintenance tasks as set in Annual Plan
  • Perform electrical inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of buildings and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and address equipment and building issues to prevent service disruptions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize facilities equipment degradation and failures.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of the facility, including interior and exterior areas.
  • Repair, modify, construct, fabricate, and install building structures, systems, and equipment (e.g., roofs, walls, ceilings, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, grounds).
  • Replace or update outdated building materials and appliances (e.g., motors, belts, sinks, doors, lighting fixtures).
  • Inspect and maintain fire safety devices, building lighting, generators, and mechanical systems.
  • Paint and repair walls, floors, roofs, and other surfaces to preserve materials and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Install and repair drywall, sheetrock, and drop ceiling tiles.
  • Install signage and replace or repair appliances as needed.
  • Assist and monitor third party vendors servicing the facilities.
  • Assist the Facility Specialist/ Manager with various tasks as required.

Basic Qualifications

(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of basic electrical experience in an industrial or commercial setting; OR minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance (e.g., HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting).
  • Relevant technical training or education in an electrical field may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects over 60 pound and do other labor-intensive tasks
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Great leadership and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of Facility Supervisor/lead experience
  • Associate degree in a maintenance-related field or equivalent technical certification.
  • Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • None Required but preferred Relevant certifications in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or OSHA compliance are highly desirable.

Working Conditions:

  • 10% office-based, 45% facility interior work, 45% outdoor tasks.
  • Frequently standing, walking, and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Use of hand and power tools.
  • Overtime and on-call availability as required.
  • Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
  • Commuting between work locations in Richmond Hill, Savannah & Ellabell, GA
  • Maintain the Factory building and outside of auxiliary building or equipment but not limited
