Job DescriptionLHH is looking for a Legal Assistant – Personal Injury (Plaintiff) for a law firm in Chicago. This will potentially be hybrid once settled into the role. Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain a complex caseload as the primary support to the assigned attorney

Track and manage multiple court-mandated deadlines and cutoff dates

Organize, prepare, and retrieve case files and documents
-
Act as a liaison between clients and attorneys, ensuring a positive and supportive client experience

Electronically file motions, orders, and other court documents
-
Schedule depositions, court appearances, client meetings, mediations, and calls
-
Draft correspondence, court instructions, and communications with opposing counsel
-
Docket orders and track important case-related dates
-
Negotiate medical bills and subrogation liens on behalf of clients

Handle all incoming and outgoing checks and documentation
-
Identify and escalate urgent issues to the attorney in a timely manner

Perform other tasks as assigned by the attorney or leadership team
Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Case Manager

Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury law
-
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail and deadline awareness

Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills
-
Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $50,000 – $62,000 (based on experience)
