We’re hiring an Access Control Technician to join a growing team that specializes in commercial low-voltage projects. - Install and configure cloud-based and hard-wired access control systems (Infinias & PDK)
- Install door hardware and wiring components for secure access systems
- Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, and system plans
- Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat 5, Cat 6, Fiber)
- Conduct on-site surveys and ensure installations meet technical specs and building codes
- Diagnose and resolve system failures and implement long-term solutions
- Maintain strong communication and customer service on every project site
- Work independently while collaborating with project teams
- Attend job site meetings and training as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in access control, data cabling, or low-voltage systems
- Prior experience with Infinias and PDK Cloud-Based Access Control (required)
- Comfortable installing access door hardware and related systems
- Solid understanding of fire stop systems, cable trays, and structured cabling
- Experienced in blueprint reading and commercial job sites (not residential)
- Skilled in installing and terminating Cat 5, Cat 6, coaxial, and fiber optic cable
- Audio/Visual and security cabling experience a plus
- Must pass a background check and drug screen (no felonies in the past 7 years)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7AM-5PM
- Overtime and working after 5PM may be required during big projects.
- Flexible Schedule Preferred
Pay Rate:
- $23-$27/Hour
- Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
