Position: Janitorial/Facilities Maintenance
Location: 6130 Avalon Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90003
(South L.A.)
Emphasis is on facilities management and tenant customer service. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong initiative to take on a wide variety of tasks. You should possess the ability to effectively communicate and have proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem-solving, and prioritizing workloads.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
• Maintains the facility and equipment in a safe and operational state of readiness to meet the daily needs of tenants.
• Provides “on call” coverage as needed.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good communicator, both written & verbal
• Must be available weekends, evenings, and holidays
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Part Time to possible Full Time
• Shift length will vary from 6 to 8 hours
• High School graduate or equivalent
• One year of janitorial experience (3 years preferred)
• Food Safety Certification (Preferred), must be obtained within 60 days if not already certified
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Solid understanding of food handling and sanitation practices
• Ability to train personnel on the operation and safe use of material handling equipment
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs
Exposure:
• Commercial kitchens and warehouse environment, with brief exposures to freezer and cooler temperatures
