REMOTE: EDI Engineer for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) HIGH PAY

Job Description

Job DescriptionLooking for an engineer/technical SME that is very familiar with EDI Transmission and supported formats.
EDI transmission support multiple formats: UNEDIFACT, ANSI X12, and 2 custom formats called CATAIR and CAM.
Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) / CBP receives over 100 different message types in one or a combination of the supported formats.
Current on latest modernization direction which is pivoting away from EDI transaction sets.
DHS/CBP looking to move away from EDI to more shippers leveraging the ACE portal which is built on Salesforce
To-be state
API-first
JSON-based
event-driven
Ideally not required looking for experience using the ACE System (DHS/CBP User Interface).
ACE data is spread across different databases; DB2, Oracle and Datacom.
Interoperability expertise key for transition period to API/JSON preferred
Very fast turnaround here and looking for candidates ASAP.

Remote Position

Position is 100-130/hour
