Job Summary

The Child Care Teacher at KinderCare Learning Center is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. Teachers support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while following KinderCare curriculum, state licensing regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment at all times
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with KinderCare curriculum
• Supervise children closely to ensure safety and well-being
• Maintain proper classroom ratios in accordance with state licensing requirements
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Observe, document, and communicate children’s development and daily activities
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and required classroom documentation
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
• Model positive behavior and guide children using developmentally appropriate practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• CDA, Associate’s Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet state licensing requirements
• Previous experience working with children preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background checks as required by licensing

Work Environment

• Active classroom setting that may require standing, bending, lifting children, and engaging in physical activities
