Feinstein & Naishtut, LLP is a dynamic boutique litigation based law firm committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to us. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of legal procedures and terminology. Experience in Matrimonial/Family Law, Estates and Real Estate preferred.
Responsibilities:

Case Management Support: Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation and transactional matters, including opening new files, maintaining accurate client records, and managing case calendars and deadlines.

Document Preparation: Draft, review, and finalize a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, correspondence, and discovery requests/responses, ensuring accuracy, proper formatting, and adherence to court rules and firm standards.

Filing and Service: Prepare and e-file documents with various courts (state and federal), administrative agencies, and other entities. Coordinate service of process as needed.

Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, answering inquiries, providing updates, and scheduling meetings in a professional and courteous manner.

Discovery Assistance: Organize and manage discovery documents, including Bates-stamping, indexing, and preparing privilege logs. Assist with deposition preparation and trial exhibits.

Administrative Support: Manage attorney schedules, process invoices and expense reports, and maintain an organized and efficient office environment.

Timeslips Management: Maintain and update time and billing management software and other firm databases with accurate and timely information.

Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to ethical guidelines, court rules, and firm policies.
Qualifications:

Minimum of [3-5+] years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a New York State litigation based law firm setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook, are essential).

Experience with New York State e-filing systems.

Familiarity with time and billing software (e.g., Timeslips) is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Superior organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
