Join our Team! Leland Management is seeking a Maintenance Porter for one of our communities in the Orlando, FL area. The position is full-time (Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm) with competitive pay and excellent benefits.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of all exterior buildings and outside common ground areas.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Removing trash from clubhouse, bathrooms (Clubhouse and Pool area), common areas, grounds, and receptacles.
- Light check monthly
- Preparing clubhouse for meetings and events
- Stocking and organizing cleaning and maintenance supply rooms and closets.
- Performing light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and painting.
- Monitoring the security of the facility and reporting any maintenance or security issues to management.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and provide reporting to manager/Maintenance Tech on exterior maintenance.
- Upkeep and maintenance of tennis courts, nets, and associated equipment.
- Repair and maintain signage.
- Assist in other tasks or projects as requested by management, designated Board Member or other employees.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- I must be able to work well independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish
- General knowledge of light construction work, i.e. drywall repairs, plumbing, painting, etc.
- General knowledge of fire alarm systems, lighting, painting, pool maintenance
- Organizational skills: Maintenance of workshop areas, inventory and supplies
- Preventive maintenance of community equipment
- General knowledge of irrigation systems
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Repair and maintain signage
- Assist in other tasks or projects as requested by management or designated Board Members
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to the property manager.
