At Liner Legal, we are committed to helping individuals secure the Social Security Disability benefits they deserve. With compassion and diligence, our team works closely with clients throughout every stage of the processfrom initial application to final appeal. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hearing Paralegal to join our growing team and provide support for SSDI and SSI claims at the Hearing, Appeals Council and Federal Court stages of the claim.
The Hearing Paralegal is responsible for assisting clients with Social Security Disability claims to prepare for the hearing. This role involves gathering evidence, communicating with clients and the Social Security Administration, and preparing documentation necessary to support claims for the hearing.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for a large caseload of clients during the Hearing, Appeals Council and Federal Court stages of the claim.
- Obtain and review medical records, employment history, and other relevant evidence to prepare the claim for a hearing.
- Monitor deadlines and maintain case calendar to ensure timely appeals.
- Communicate with the Office of Hearing Operations.
- Maintain detailed case notes in the firms case management system.
- Provide compassionate and professional support to clients who are often navigating complex and stressful situations.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure smooth case progression.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher; Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience with Social Security Disability claims, particularly at the Hearing level
- Strong understanding of SSA regulations and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in case management software
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
