Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Commerce Twp, MI Shift: Monday – Thursday | 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Fridays as needed Pay Range: $30.00 – $32.00/hour
A manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and facility upkeep. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, performing facility repairs, and ensuring long-term uptime and safety. The ideal candidate brings a customer-focused mindset, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining urgency and efficiency.
Daily Functions: • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment • Work on/install control and power circuits (per Arc Flash safety standards) • Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC tasks • Fabricate components and assist with facility upkeep (painting, grounds, etc.) • Support contractors and vendors on specialized projects • Follow LOTO and all regulatory and safety procedures • Read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area • Complete other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • Minimum 6 years of industrial maintenance experience • Experience with rotating equipment, PLCs, sensors, and drives • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems • Ability to read schematics and mechanical prints • Familiar with HVAC systems and fire prevention systems • Proficient in manual machining, welding, and fabrication
Preferred Education and Experience: • Industrial Maintenance Certificate or formal Controls Training • Experience with combustion or direct-fire oven systems.
