Nielsen Kia of Newton is looking for a Parts Counter Person to join the team! The Parts Counterperson/Delivery driver sells parts to all available customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone and is responsible for the delivery of parts to wholesale collision and repair customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes, determine availability, and process orders.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up.
• Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process.
• Be friendly, professional, and efficient when working with all customers, both on the phone and in person.
• Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
• Keep current on new products and product updates.
• Must be legally and technically able to operate company and customer vehicles.
• Must be insurable by company insurance carrier.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Efficiently plan delivery routes and adjust to changes in delivery schedule.
• Adapt to new technologies and computer-based systems.
• Follow standard stock keeping practices to ensure a neat and accurate inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Experience in auto motive parts and general sales is preferred but will train the right candidate.
• Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
