As we expand our ServiceNow capabilities we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ServiceNow Senior Solution Architect to drive strategic growth and expand our market footprint as a Pre-Sales Engineer. This person will specialize in ServiceNow's Core products, and related products, within our dynamic and rapidly growing Automation Business Unit. This role can be remote and there may be occasional travel.

Job Overview:

A successful Sales Engineer at Perficient is a seasoned ServiceNow Senior Solution Architect who plays a pivotal role in the sales process. This individual partners closely with both ServiceNow and non-ServiceNow sales teams to identify and drive new business opportunities. While hands-on experience with the platform is essential, the role emphasizes strategic discovery, solution design, proposal development, and resource estimation over traditional product demonstrations. Your deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform-including Core Products, Industry Solutions, and broader enterprise technologies-will be instrumental in crafting compelling proposals and guiding clients toward scalable, value-driven solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Sales & Solutioning

• Lead discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand their business challenges, technical environments, and strategic goals.
• Translate discovery insights into high-level solution architectures aligned with ServiceNow best practices and platform capabilities.
• Develop resource plans, project timelines, and effort estimates to support sales pursuits and client proposals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders-including Sales teams, Delivery Leads, and Clients-to define winning engagement strategies.

Proposal & Sales Support

• Craft compelling solution narratives, architecture diagrams, scope definitions, and supporting documentation for sales presentations.
• Contribute to the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring accurate scoping, deliverables, and delivery models.
• Support RFP/RFI responses by leveraging existing assets and creating new content that provides strategic and technical guidance.
• Partner with Perficient's ServiceNow Leadership team to position the company as a trusted advisor and preferred consulting partner.

Collaboration & Enablement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate the ServiceNow ecosystem and adopt scalable, value-driven solutions.
• Work closely with Perficient's ServiceNow sales, delivery, and industry teams to align with go-to-market strategies and industry trends.
• Stay current on ServiceNow product updates, new features, and platform innovations to continuously refine sales strategies and solution offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or commensurate experience.

Work Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or a combination of both.
• 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional, matrixed teams in a pre-sales or consulting capacity.
• Proven experience in ServiceNow migrations and implementations.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in architecture modeling tools such as UMO or ArchiMate.
• Experience with enterprise-level architectures, including headless platforms and microservices environments.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Core Products (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM) and Industry Solutions (e.g., Healthcare, Financial Services, Manufacturing).
• Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making
• Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations

• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• High attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and engaging with senior leadership, including C-level executives.
• Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.

Preferred ServiceNow Certifications

• Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – one or more (e.g., ITSM, CSM, HRSD, ITOM)
• Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward certification
• ServiceNow Pre-Sales Accreditations (e.g., Discovery, Value Management, Solution Consultant)

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
