Salary: $21.00/hr.
A Booting Spray Technician is responsible for applying specialized coatings and protective materials to mechanical components used in sensitive or hazardous environments. This role involves preparing surfaces, operating spray equipment, installing protective boots, and ensuring quality standards are met. The technician works in a clean or controlled environment, often on a second shift, and collaborates with production and engineering teams to meet safety and performance specifications. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow technical procedures are essential for success in this position.
Schedule
- Monday - Thursday 5am-3pm
Pay
- $21/hr.
- Weekly paychecks every Friday
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces of mechanical components for coating or booting
- Operate spray equipment to apply protective coatings according to specifications
- Install protective boots or coverings on precision assemblies
- Mask, tape, and clean parts to ensure proper adhesion and finish
- Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, and consistency
- Maintain cleanroom standards and follow safety protocols
- Document production activity and report any issues or defects
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
Skills and Qualifications
- Attention to detail: Ensures coatings and protective boots are applied accurately and consistently.
- Manual dexterity: Handles small parts and spray equipment with precision.
- Mechanical aptitude: Understands basic assembly and equipment operation.
- Teamwork: Works effectively with production and engineering teams.
- Time management: Meets daily production goals and shift deadlines.
- Quality awareness: Identifies defects and maintains high standards.
- Experience in painting, spraying, or assembly (preferred but not always required)
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions or blueprints
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled environment
