Responsibilities:
- Perform various farming tasks, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting wheat crops
- Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery to prepare fields and maintain wheat crops
- Practice animal husbandry techniques to care for cattle and ensure their well-being
- Maintain and repair farm equipment and machinery as needed
- Utilize basic math skills to calculate measurements, quantities, etc.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete various tasks
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust farming practices accordingly
- Implement pest control measures to protect crops from damage
-Other tasks as needed/required for the task at hand
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in row crop farming is required
- Knowledge of agricultural practices and techniques for row crops
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with animal husbandry(cattle) principles and practices
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repairs
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills to collaborate with other team members
